Spring Contour Drawings

It's a new year and I'm ten.

Here is a still life of Spring plants I drew at school.

The next two contour drawings are scenes from the loft we live in. You have to look closely and draw what you see. What's fun about drawing is that in the last one I added some dramatic action. I wondered what it would be like if I could blast a window in the wall-and there it is!

Book & Movie Magic

So here's some book and movie magic. Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak! My sketch of Russell from the movie Up! The Lorax by Dr. Suess. Here's a drawing of my dream-I'm a Disney Pixar artist and they actually like what I drew. Then 20th Century Fox decides to make a movie out of my stories.

School Pets

I made these drawings of some of our school pets: a bird I remember from kindergarten with Miss Morgan, Joy the Lizard from Miss Crystal's class and the ultimate pet Shakespeare who belongs to Ms. Merrill and her fourth graders. I get to bring Shakespeare home and like to read chapter books to him. His favorite food is basil so we grow it in our garden and spoil him.

Re-inventing the mysteries of Hugo Cabret

Mom and I are huge fans of Brian Selznick and I made these 2 drawings about his first book. I've also read Wonderstruck and I can't wait for number 3. I love the automaton because it looks cool and can draw the man in the moon with the rocket in it's eye. I wanted you to see it so here it is.
I wish I had an automaton.

My Christmas in Mexico

November Drawings
