Fantastic Fantasy Food

In case you have a child who’s a picky eater, here’s an idea of what you should do. What you should do is tell them that it’s not what it actually is, but instead trick them into thinking it’s a different food with a creative name, and it comes from a world of fantasy. They’ll get used to the flavor. That way, it’ll be an easy job for your child to eat their healthy meal. You won’t have to force them into eating it. Here are some examples of the ideas for what you should name the food:

Peas: Green Drops

Carrots: Orange Twiglets from Jupiter

Mashed potatoes: Fluffy Clouds

Mushrooms: Sliced Pixie Stools

Spaghetti: Unicorn Hair

Eggs yolks: Sunshine

Sausages: Vampire Fingers

Cauliflower: Snow Trees

Cabbage: Butterfly Wings from Saturn

Bananas: Yellow Moons

Oranges: Mermaid’s Circus Balls

Apples: Crunchy Balloons from Uranus

Salmon: Ocean Nibbles (tell your child that mermaids love them)

Cheese: Moon Slices

Rice: Snowflakes from Heaven

Tomatoes: Mars Squirts

Santiago Super Hero!

Today is Father's Day and Dad and I have been spending our day together. We took him out to lunch and walked around the bay shooting photos. As you can see, I've had an unusual afternoon taking care of routine business.

As a super hero I am always on the lookout for trouble

I was about to freeze an evil villain, but accidentally froze Grandma Pillo

I immediately took action to shrink the ice cube and remove her from a state of suspended animation

The beautiful start of my amazing long summer vacation

Today was the last day of sixth grade and Dad and I celebrated with a nice long bike ride on Coronado Island. Two and a half glorious months of summer vacation start now!

Here we are in the last week of sixth grade and I wanted to upload some recent drawings shot with my parent's i-phone.

Iroquois Theatre

We have been talking about natural and man made disasters in school. In class we learned about the Iroquois Theatre fire in Chicago on December 30, 1903. I wanted to draw this scene of the theatre before the fire swept through killing 602 people.

A scene from the book Touching Spirit Bear by Ben Michaelson. This is Cole's evil father who drinks too much and hit Cole with his belt. That's his mother Cindy crying.

This is Edwin from Touching Spirit Bear. When Cole is banished to an island in Southeast Alaska he learns to carve a totem. On the island he learns many lessons.

On the left we see an old barn burning and on the right it is a nice hotel so the same characters is rushing to save the grand piano. Crazy huh?

In San Francisco I was studying a book I bought about Disney films at the Walt Disney Family Museum.
It was then that I noticed that Stromboli and Tony Mozzarella were either the same person or identical twins.
I think the original animator was having some fun with us.

I like the way my drawing on the back shows through to the front. It's almost like This bird is
the spirit of a wise bearded man with a mustache.
