Fall drawings
I'm seven years old, getting taller and growing as an artist this Fall and I've made these new sketches using my sharpies. The photo is of my friends and I in second grade on our scooters and that's me with the blue shirt and red helmet.

Summer 2009 Drawings
Here are some drawings I made at my home in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico this summer. While I am here I like to go to the hot springs, read, ride my scooter in the park, eat ice cream in the zocalo and give names to all the bugs and butterflies I meet. I made some drawings of a favorite movie called Night at the Museum-there is Larry with his flashlight and the cavemen when they accidentally set a fire. There is a Mexican church and favorite stories like Goose. Most of them are from my imagination like the junkyard with the cello that can be fixed, kid plugging into the sun and man meeting the mermaid.

Seven in the summer
It's been a busy summer in my studio. When you are seven years old and school is out there is so much to do...ride my scooter, swim at the pool, go to the library to read and try out my brand new sharpies. Before we head to our home in Mexico I asked my mom and dad to share these recent drawings and photos taken at Niki de Saint Phalle's garden in Escondido. The colors and crazy creatures are so beautiful that I would like to build a house that looks like that.

An American little boy in Paris
One of my favorite movies is American in Paris. Jerry Mulligan the character played by Gene Kelly lives in a tiny studio in Paris. His room is so small that he has to fold up his bed to make his kitchen. I decided to build his kitchen in my room because it is small too. Then I invited my grandma Pillo to a tea party. I hope you like my movie.

Phoenix Rising
Yesterday we painted the second mural at my school with the kids and families of the San Diego Cooperative Charter School. That's me smiling after we finished and that's my dad Rafael who designed Phoenix Rising to celebrate the children, teachers, moms and dads. The art shows how important it is to create and care for our earth and make a garden. We made a beautiful one at our school and we all take care of it and get to walk in and enjoy watching things grow. The mural is on two walls outside of the art room and everybody loves our art teacher Miss Bell. That's her jumping and she can jump really high. On the corner you can see the artist with her brush and paints. There are also children reading because everybody knows that books are treasures. You can also see kids making music on drums and playing outside in the sunshine. There is a flower blooming and inside is the world with the red phoenix rising.
You can see a video of the mural being made that was created by Steven Morris at
